Coaching is a collaborative dialogue in which you find your own solutions rather than receiving instructions or advice. This is how it differs from other approaches.
Coaching helps you gain a deeper understanding of your goals, capabilities, and limitations, activating your thinking and responsibility. A coach doesn't give you solutions—they help you develop them. This is a path to developing leadership potential and strategic thinking.
Consulting is the delivery of ready-made solutions and expert recommendations. A consultant "knows the right way" and offers a path forward. A coach, on the other hand, believes you are the primary expert in your life and business.
Mentoring is support from a more experienced professional. The mentor shares their own experience: "I did it this way—do it my way." Coaching focuses on your solutions, not on someone else's patterns.
Psychotherapy works with the past, trauma, internal conflicts, and psycho-emotional states. Coaching is about the present and future; it doesn't heal, but rather develops. A psychotherapist helps restore, a coach helps grow.
